The Seven Principles Workshop is designed to help your relationship thrive.
Based on decades of rigorous research by Dr. John Gottman, The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work program translates groundbreaking scientific insights into practical, evidence-based guidance for couples seeking stronger, more resilient relationships. The program helps couples deepen their friendship, manage conflict effectively, honor one another’s dreams, and create shared meaning through structured exercises and tools, offering a proven framework for building a healthy, lasting, and meaningful partnership.
What Actually Makes
Relationships Work
There are four important areas that we’ll cover in this workshop that we know will help enhance your relationship and your sense of connection with your partner. You’ll get real advice and practical steps to strengthen these areas.
Focusing on your friendship with you partner is a key part of making your relationship work. It’s hard to love someone if you don’t also love spending time with them, show curiosity about their life, and simply have fun.
Strong Friendships
Relationship House
The Relationship House is at the heart of Gottman’s research and outlines key areas of relationship growth and development. We’ll help you recognize your own house and ensure that it’s foundation is solid.
Repairs from Conflict
Every relationship has conflict. Every person in a relationship says things or does things that are hurtful and creates distance. We’ll help coach you to recognize the moments this happens and how to repair the disconnection.
Meaning & Purpose
All of us want to know that what we’re doing matters. In additional to our individual meaning, we get to create relationship meaning too. We’ll help you to find ways to turn your relationship dreams into relationship reality.
Who is this workshop for?
The Seven Principles workshop is designed for couples who are have been together for a while and would describe themselves as relatively happy or for couples who are engaged or considering engagement.
It’s important to know that the workshop won’t be the best fit for couples who may currently be in more distress like recovering from infidelity or betrayal, experiencing serious mental health concerns, or where there might be active addiction present. Couples therapy would be a better fit for couples in those situations.
Both members of the couple must be in attendance at this workshop.
